Z’Gok – “Rising from the Depths” | Project by The Ghost of Zeon
Adapted from the modeler’s album…
My final completed build for 2015, this HG Z’Gok was cut in half using a razor saw and, once painted, mounted on a piece of glass by using epoxy glue.
By mounting the kit onto glass like this, it gives the perception of depth without having to use the entire kit.
The main paints were nail polish, Tamiya Metallic Silver and Mr Surfacer Black.
The water was created using epoxy glue first, then cotton wool for the white wash and then Vallejo Water Effects for the waves and splashes over the Z’Gok.
The main idea behind this build was to demonstrate that a dynamic scene can be created without having to do a full diorama scene.
