This 1/100 Kampfer Kai Custom (Model GoGo) by sbnuque is one of the kits that caught my attention due to its matte finish. Here’s a little story from the modeler…
“In all the kits I build, I always try to stick to the original colors of the Mobile Suit as much as possible because I want to keep the integrity and identity of the Mobile Suit as characterized in the series.
For this model, I used Bosny Spray cans, in two tones of blue for the armor and gun metal and silver for the inner frame. For details, I used Sharpie Markers and tech-pens.
To finish, I added a layer of flat top coat to emphasize the details and decals.
It’s my first time to join a competition and this piece brought home the 2nd runner up place.”
